You can submit your game for free inclusion on our main IGD website, excluding Developer Central. However, your game must be less than one year away from release, with or without a demo, or estimated to be two years away if you have a demo. If you are launching your game, initiating a crowdfunding campaign, then you should opt for the Priority option. We cannot guarantee that your game will be shown on our website within the specified timeframe without it. If you do not want to take advantage of getting your game on our website quicker, or aiming to garner a following through the *organic/direct traffic on our site with additional marketing then the Basic (free) option is for you!
We advise against hastily expending your marketing efforts on any website or publication. If you believe your game is not yet ready, please refrain from submitting it. If you think your game is ready, then we will review your submission, deciding whether to approve it based on its readiness. If we decide not to approve it and you seek advice on improvements, do let us know. You are welcome to resubmit your game to us in the future.
If your game is in the early stages of development, please hold off on submitting it until it’s ready. In the meantime, you are encouraged to engage with our community groups. We often reach out for potential coverage on Developer Central for projects discussed within these groups.
*All website packages comes with standard organic and direct traffic by default. This traffic comes from search engines, our marketing activities in promoting the website, games and content shown in our communities or social media channels. In addition to any marketing packages that we may provide.
Submitting your game doesn’t guarantee that you will get on our website, or magazine. It really depends on how complete your game is and if we feel that we can help. We will look at your game being ready for inclusion on our website and will also look at whether or not the game is too generic! One of the reasons why we believe stores are saturated with games is that too many of them are the same or do not provide any unique features to set themselves apart from the rest.
No. At least not at the moment. We believe it is not the right time to decide this just yet. For now, we are happy to showcase or promote your game with the current stores that your game is in. We can provide store links to most of the available stores out there today. When you submit your game to our website, you are not uploading your game or demo – we help drive traffic to the game stores through showcases, marketing and campaign packages.
Not yet. We are making sure that everything is in place before we become a publisher of games.
Yes! You can upgrade and pay only the difference. So if you’ve already taken out the Priority option, then you’ll only pay £325. This will cover you for the additional marketing that we provide. Get in touch to find out what is included.
Submitting your game to us is the first step. Once your game has been approved and added to our website, you will then potentially be selected for inclusion in our magazine, but it is not guaranteed. We will generally select games that have been submitted to our website first, then our communities and then socials.
You can submit your game via the Free Basic Package, this will get your game into the queue system which is growing on a weekly basis, however we will filter out games that have a demo or have been released to give them more of a priority when we need to complete each book, but it will be less than a Priority package. Your game could potentially be included in the first BIG BOOK of Indie Games or the next. (Subject to approval)
